Celebrating Our Progress: A New Chapter of Possibility and Potential

As we step into a new school year, it’s a moment to pause and celebrate the remarkable strides our students have made. It’s with immense pride and a deep sense of hope that I share the exciting academic progress we’ve achieved together. This year, the data signals a bright horizon, reflecting our collective dedication and the potential that lies ahead.

Our Spring end-of-year i-Ready assessments reveal that we’ve successfully reduced the percentage of Tier 3 students (those 3 or more years behind) by over 50%. This significant milestone is not just a number; it represents a tangible advancement in our students’ skills and understanding. It’s a testament to our educators’ hard work and our students’ dedication.

The NJSLA results further underscore this progress. We have achieved double-digit gains in ELA for grades 3 through 8. Specifically, our middle school ELA scores saw a remarkable 13% improvement, while elementary school math scores surged by an impressive 22%. These gains are a direct reflection of our focused efforts and innovative teaching strategies. They mark a new standard of excellence and a strong foundation for future learning.

But numbers alone don’t tell the full story. Behind these statistics are countless stories of student growth, resilience, and enthusiasm. Our dedicated teachers have been at the heart of this transformation, employing creative and effective methods to engage and inspire our students. Their commitment to fostering a supportive and challenging learning environment is palpable and has been crucial in achieving these gains.

As we look forward to the new school year, we are thrilled to launch our new Teaching and Learning Team. This initiative will further enhance our instructional practices and ensure that we continue to build on the momentum we’ve gained. Our focus will remain on nurturing our students’ academic abilities while also supporting their overall development.

The progress we’ve made is a clear sign of what’s possible when we work together with purpose and dedication. As we embrace this new chapter, let’s continue to build on our successes, celebrate our achievements, and remain steadfast in our mission to unlock the full potential of every student and ensure each student is on a pathway to a choice-filled life.

Here’s to a year filled with promise, progress, and boundless potential. Together, we will continue to make strides and achieve new heights. Thank you for being an essential part of this incredible journey.

With optimism and gratitude,
