EOY 1On Saturday June 26th CCSP celebrated the close out of the 2009-2010 school year with our Annual End Of Year Family Carnival. 158 families and 647 guests enjoyed a day full of food, games, and fellowship. This year’s celebration featured free cotton candy, snow cones, face painting, pony rides, a full petting zoo, moon walk, dunk booth, clowns and magicians. As always the day was made possible by AmeriCorps members and a core group of teachers and parents who both helped in the planning and implementation of the event. Volunteers did everything from cooking on the grill, to working the games and passing out prizes, to even sitting in the dunk tank. We owe a special thanks to NJCDC who contributed both manpower and money to make the day a success.

Tee-shirts were given out to parents and students who filled out surveys to gain a better perspective on the measurable outcomes of this year’s family workshops and activities. The comprehensive survey tracked families’ behavior in 15 categories for growth as a result of CCSP sponsored activities. We are proud to report an 84% overall parent satisfaction and are working on ways to improve our performance until we reach 100%.
